New Skyline Features Release Date 1st April 2011

Skyline 6.0 became an industry leading web based asset tracking software platform when it was released in March 2008.  Although the product has evolved with around 40 major updates since release it will be replaced on 14th July 2011 with a new evolution, Skyline 7.0

The most obvious changes are visual with new branding, icons and grid display.  This is to reflect the new “green” credentials within Skyline 7.0 and our rebranded company website.

It’s more than simply branding. With a host of new features & improved useability Skyline 7.0 sets new standards in asset monitoring and security applications.

Within the new release all users will be able to enjoy the advantages of these new features which are detailed below:-

• CO2 reporting functions on all road vehicles – plant CO2 is live later in July
• Wizard style Report scheduler
• Wizard style Event scheduler
• Reminders scheduler
• Contacts Database
• Custom Reports & scheduler
• Zone Database & sending list
• Point of Interest layers
• POI Import & export
• Driver Import & export
• Google Routing & SteetView

An aggressive development schedule is in progress to enhance Skyline 7.0 with many new features designed to aid users control fleet & driver efficiency, monitor vehicle & fuel costs and extract CAN data from compatible vehicles.

Hardware is also being developed along with Skyline 7.0 and we have already seen the release of the new SK117/SK127 that replaces it’s popular and reliable predecessor. During August the SK130 will be replacing the SK110/120 product except for applications where Thatcham approval is required.
