• Plant Theft Foiled in Daring Daylight Heist

    The power of our units has once again been proven by another successful recovery for a customer after their machine was stolen in Essex. This was a more daring theft as the criminals took the machine in the middle of the afternoon on the 7th October.

    August Bank Holiday Mower Recovery

    We were informed that a customer had a sit-on mower stolen over the August Bank Holiday from one of their sites. We were able to track the mower to an area of land not far from the theft location, we promptly notified the customer and both local police and specialist unit, PANIU, to the location of the mower.

    Irish Compressor Recovery

    At times our Recovery Team at Enigma Telematics get some cases that are out of the ordinary, and this recovery was one such case. A Doosan 741 2x Tool Compressor was booked out on hire in mid-June, however, when the hire period ended the compressor was not returned. Our customer traced the machine and found that the compressor had made a trip across to Ireland and was working out of a farm area in County Leitrim, but was unsure how it got there and why.

  • Cross County Terex Chase Ends in Success

    In June 2017, an apparent theft of a Terex 6-Ton Dumper was reported to Enigma, our team were able to track and locate the dumper which was at a site in Bramwith, South Yorkshire. We informed the customer of where the dumper was and contacted the Plant and Agricultural National Intelligence Unit of the Met Police for assistance in recovering the machine. However, in the meantime the additional alerts that had been set-up after the theft report, notified the Enigma team that the dumper was being towed.

  • Game of Cat and Mouse in Essex Results in Recovery

    In late July 2017, a customer informed us that a Thwaites High Lift 1 Ton Dumper had disappeared from a site in London overnight and was believed to have been stolen. They requested for the Enigma Team trace and locate the machine, which turned out to have been moved 15 miles and had been in an open field in Nazeing, Essex, however, it looked like some attempt had been made to comprise the tracking equipment by attempting to shield the vehicle, but had failed.
